Christmas Present Box Cake

     I made this cake for a 70th birthday party.  The party had a Christmas theme and these presents fit in perfectly!

Halloween Cake

     This cake was for a Halloween themed birthday party.  I had to deliver it a day early since we received a rare snow store before Halloween!  This cake was chocolate cake with a fudge frosting, vanilla cake with a strawberry filling and red velvet cake with cream cheese filling all enrobed in dark chocolate ganache and then covered with homemade buttercream. 

Coconut Cake

     I would love to dive into this coconut cake!  I never wanted to eat a cake so badly!

Wedding Shower Cake

     Shower cake for a very dear friend of mine!!  I love the flowers on this cake. 

Ice Cream Themed Dessert Table

     My daughter had an ice cream social for her 9th birthday.  It turned out to be one of my favorite parties I've ever thrown!  I love the pink, orange, and yellow color scheme. 

Family Reunion-Dessert Table

     Another long overdue post!  This dessert table is simalor to my July 4th table, I tweeked it for our family reunion.

July 4th-Crabby Themed Dessert Table

   Here's some long overdue photos of the dessert table I did for our annual July 4th party.  We had a cupcake tower, crabby pops, chocolate covered oreo pops, chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate dipped pretzels, s'mores, cake truffles, cookie pies, and crabby sugar cookies.

Twins 10th Birthday Cakes-Puppy and Soccer Cakes

     Friends of ours have twins, Sammy and Kevin, that's turning 10 this weekend.  To celebrate I made a soccer and puppy cake.  

     The puppy cake is my double chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache filling.  Sammy's favorite colors are aqua and pink so we incorporated those colors into the cake.  The cake has a pink dog collar around it.  This is the first time I made a 3D fondant dog.  I think he turned out rather cute! 

     Kevin's cake is a vanilla cake filled with vanilla buttercream.  His favorite colors, blue and green are well represented here.  This is also the first time I did a 3D soccer ball.  Happy birthday Sammy and Kevin!

40th Birthday Cake

     My best friend was turning 40 this week so I made this shopping bag cake for her. The cake has 3 2-layer sections. The bottom tier is double dark chocolate cake with orange-Grand Marnier buttercream, the middle layer was a vanilla cake with raspberry chambord buttercream and the top layer was cherry cake with a cherry kirsch buttercream.

Sorry for the poor quality photo, I have a 2 year old who always seems to find my camera, get the lens cover off and put his fingers all over it!

     Can you tell the birthday girl loves martini's, make-up and shopping??

Mickey Mouse Cake

    

     This is a Mickey Birthday Cake for twin boys who were turning 2 and had just got back from Disney.

Thomas The Train Cake

     I did this cake for a 2 year old that loves Thomas (as does every 2 year old boy that I know!) This cake has a 9" french vanilla with strawberry filling under a 6" double chocolate with vanilla buttercream filling. 
     My 2 year old cried, "Where's choo choo train cake?" for 3 days after the cake left my house.  I guess I know what he's getting for his next birthday!

Elephant Themed Baby Shower

     This was a cupcake tower I did for an elephant themed baby shower.  The 6" round on top was vanilla flavored with strawberry filling.  We supplied a dozen vanilla-butter cupcakes with strawberry filling with a vanilla buttercream and a dozen chocolate cupcakes with homemade chocolate sauce piped into the centers and a chocolate buttercream on top. 

     This was the Pottery Barn crib bedding we were matching the elephant on the cake to. 

French Connection Wedding Cake

     I spent this past weekend in Virginia at the NCACS and it was wonderful!!  The above cake, I made, is a design by Sweet Southern Ladies and by far one of my favorites!

Neon 16th Birthday Cake

     I love this neon birthday cake!  It's a 10" french vanilla and a 7" double chocolate cake with all fondant decorations.  The cake has sparkler candles. 

Harlequin Birthday Cake

    A strawberry cake with purple and white fondant in a harlequin pattern with ribbon roses. 

Cookie Monster & Cocoa

     We had a Cookie Monster themed 2nd birthday party for my youngest this weekend so I made a small Cookie Monster cake for on top the tower and 'cookie' themed cupcakes around it.  I also made cocoa cones as party favors, who doesn't like hot coco in January?

Colorful Cupcake Cake

     This is a colorful cake I did for a 9th birthday party.  I particularly love the cupcake on the cake!!  I also made 2 dozen lemon cupcakes and 20 chocolate dipped pretzel favors.

Curious George Cake

     This is a Curious George ballon cake that I did for a friend of Greg's.  Now my son wants a Curious George cake for his birthday too.

Minnie Mouse Cake

   Well I've enjoyed a small cake-ation for the holidays but it's back to work now!  I made this sweet Minnie Mouse cake for my niece's 1st birthday party.  The banner at the bottom says, 1st baby of 2010.
